New short film: Citizen scientists of the River Evenlode
The River Evenlode flows through some of the Cotswolds’ most beautiful countryside, before joining the River Thames near Oxford. But, like many rivers in the UK, it is under threat.
The Evenlode Catchment Partnership supports a large community of volunteer citizen scientists, funding the training and supply of the FreshWater Watch kits from Earthwatch Europe. Using these kits, along with other methods like riverfly sampling, citizen scientists can monitor the water quality of their local rivers, lakes, ponds and streams. The data they collect helps us build a picture of freshwater health, and can be used to fight for real change.
Earthwatch Europe is a proud partner of the Evenlode Catchment Partnership, which was set up to improve the water quality around the River Evenlode. Thank you for creating this beautiful film.
Thank you to Jan, John, Ann, Sam, Enstone school Eco Warriors and everyone else involved.
