Cotswold farmer Henry Astor is growing nutrient-dense heritage wheat and increasing biodiversity on his farm in Oxfordshire.
This August, the Guardian has published an article detailing how Henry Astor, a member of the North East Cotswold Farmer Cluster, has transformed his farm through switching from conventional to heritage wheat, as well as planting over 30,000 trees and creating a wildflower meadow to improve the soil fertility.
The ECP have worked with Astor to implement Natural Flood Management projects on Bruern Farms, including weir removal to create a fish passage and a section of agroforestry land to naturally increase productivity and improve soil health.
