Combe Sewage Pollution Investigation – Community Awareness Meeting
Date: 10th July, 2025
Time: 6:00 pm
Location: Combe Hub, OX29 8NA
Do you live around Combe in Oxfordshire, near the River Evenlode?
Are you concerned about the sewage pollution in this area?
In 2024 Combe sewage treatment works (STW) discharged untreated sewage into the River Evenlode for over 2430 hours, winning second place in our ‘Top of the Poops’ awards. This is why the Evenlode Catchment Partnership has decided to run a targeted 6-month campaign to investigate Combe sewage treatment works.
Join the Evenlode Catchment Partnership at Combe Hub on 10th July at 6pm where we will give a 15min presentation to explain why, how and with which tools and methods we plan to monitor the River Evenlode up and downstream of Combe STW, and how you could get involved. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and then some time to meet other concerned members of the community while enjoying some free refreshments.
Please share this with your friends and neighbours. We look forward to seeing you and answering any questions that you may have.
