Voices of the River: Preventing Pets’ Parasites: Considerations and Consequences
Join us on Zoom on Tuesday 18th March 2025 from 12:30-13:30.
In the last few years, it has been discovered that there is widespread pollution, at environmentally toxic levels, of UK rivers by pesticides used to prevent flea and tick infestations of dogs and cats. How did this situation come about, how did we find out about it, how do these pesticides get from our pets into our rivers, and what can be done about it?
Please do join us for episode 17 of Voices of the River where leading researcher Dr Martin Whitehead, International Director Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine Association, will present on his research on tick and flea treatments and their impact on river health. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about this emerging issue and ask him questions!
